Mission
EEE is a non-profit organization that seeks to bridge the gap between underprivileged and advantaged youth. Our programs are designed to build character, develop confidence, deter violence and drug abuse, and motivate youth to overcome socio-economic obstacles.
Purpose
Mentor inner-city youth to deter crime, drug abuse, and teen pregnancy
Counsel youth on college opportunities
Provide education and exposure to cultural activities
Overview
Empowerment through Education and Exposure was founded in 2008, with a vision of positively impacting society by addressing the root causes of crime, drug abuse, and other socio-economic challenges. With many organizations and agencies focusing on providing direct financial assistance, EEE believes that long-term success must be attained through empowering people to overcome their circumstances. Our two-fold strategy for achieving such a goal is: by informing people of their heritage, as well as exposing them to activities and information that will enable them to break down barriers.
EEE partners with other local, national, and international organizations to facilitate the Future Endeavors College Preparatory and Mentoring Program, as well as the Green LUNGS Program. Our programs are geared toward Chicago area high school students. Additionally, EEE and program participants help strengthen the community by participating in service projects and other volunteer opportunities.
